What is ISO?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

ISO is an abbreviation for International Organization for Standardization, a reference to the Greek word \"ISOS\" meaning \"same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISO was founded on October 14, 1946 after World War II by 64 national representatives from 25 countries to promote international cooperation in industrial standardization, and currently has 176 member countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Japan and Korea joined as full member countries in March 1963 and became P-member countries (right to speak and exercise voting rights) from O-member countries (observer status) in 1991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ISO has established international standards for QM (Quality Management) and QA (Quality Assurance) systems for the production process of all products (including services, software, etc.), including contract design, purchasing, production, installation, and service quality assurance standards. The standards are based on international standards for contract design, purchasing, production, installation, and service quality assurance systems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
